One gate panel swings open from a single hinge post. The simplest and most affordable option for standard residential driveways and side entrances.

Barrier Arms
Lightweight swing arms for parking lots, toll plazas, and controlled access points. Fast cycling, high-traffic rated, and easy to maintain.

A swing gate needs enough clearance to open fully without hitting vehicles, landscaping, or structures. For a standard 6-foot gate panel, you need at least 6 feet of clear space behind the gate. Uphill driveways may require special brackets or a sliding gate instead.
Standard swing gates cannot open into an uphill slope. Options include: uphill swing brackets that lift the gate as it opens, reversing the swing direction, installing a pad-mounted operator, or switching to a sliding gate. We assess your slope during the free site visit.
Single swing gates use one panel that swings open from one side. Dual (or bi-parting) swing gates use two panels that meet in the center and swing open in opposite directions. Dual gates are preferred for wide openings because each panel is shorter and requires less clearance space.
Manual residential swing gates start around $1,500-$3,000 installed. Automated swing gates with operators range from $3,500-$8,000. Commercial dual swing gates with access control run $8,000-$18,000. Industrial barrier arms and swing systems can exceed $15,000.
